Anti-Wrinkle Injections are provided by Dr Nish Balakrishnan from our Rosebud Clinic. Sessions are held by appointment only on a Monday evening or as arranged.  The first consultation is free and patients are charged per unit for treatment provided.

Dr Nish graduated from Melbourne University in 2008 and has a background in general practice and skin cancer medicine and surgery. Dr Nish has a keen interest in Cosmetic Medicine. He understands cosmetic medicine is an art as well as a science and has a passion for using non-surgical means to achieve natural results.

Look How You Feel

As individuals we all have different reasons for wanting to change the way we look and ultimately the way we feel.

The muscles of the face allow us to express a range of emotions such as happiness, sadness and anger. Over time the repeated use of facial muscles cause lines and wrinkles to occur, particularly around the frown area. Over time you may even notice the lines get deeper.

Anti-wrinkle injections are used to relax the muscles of the face that cause wrinkles. They are very effective for the wrinkles on the forehead, crow’s feet and “worry lines”. They can also be used to treat excessive sweating affecting the hands or the under arms.

Anti-Wrinkle Injections

Dr Nish Balakrishnan has been trained using Dysport botulinum toxin, a naturally occurring protein extract which is recognized as being well tolerated in the minute levels administered for cosmetic use. Dysport has been approved for use for over 20 years globally.

Dysport is a type of botulinum toxin and can only be administered by a qualified cosmetic practitioner.

A very small dose of Dysport is injected in the specific frown muscles causing lines and wrinkles. Once the muscles have relaxed, the overlying wrinkles in the frown soften or reduce. The treatment takes around 10-15 minutes and is minimally invasive and relatively pain free.

Results

You may notice the results of your treatment within 2-3 day. The peak effect is between 10-21 days after treatment. The effects last approximately 4 months however individual results may vary.

You can expect that when the frown lines are relaxed after our treatment, the skin around the area will look smooth and less wrinkled. Dysport allows the untreated areas to move as normal. You will still be able to laugh, smile and frown, just with less wrinkling of the skin in the treated areas.
